To search for materials at the library, patrons now use an electronic card catalog which is on one of the library's computers. Searches can be by author, title, or subject. Patrons can also search by item type in order to see title lists of the library's book, video, DVD and audiobook collections. Each item's electronic card contains all needed information about the item including its status (whether it's checked out or not). Printing information from the card catalog is also available. The librarian will assist patrons in learning to use the electronic card catalog.

The old drawer card catalogs, complete with cards, were donated to the Hanover Historic Society.
