From Carnegie Hall To House Concert:  Russel Brazzel Performs In Jo Daviess County

 

“In a rare departure from his normal concert venues, classical guitarist Russel Brazzel will perform a program of Spanish and South American music in the intimate atmosphere of The Artful Lodger in Hanover, IL at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, August 31.

 

Mr. Brazzel is an accomplished classical guitarist who plays a broad range of compositions with particular finesse and sensitivity, having studied with other notable musicians including Elias Barreiro at Tulane University in Louisiana and Paul Henry at the American Conservatory of Music in Chicago.  Mr. Brazzel has won awards including first place in the Michael Lorimer competition, and has twice performed at the Carnegie Recital Hall in New York.  Russel Brazzel is currently Music Director of The Springfield Classical Guitar Society and Millikin University faculty.  His all-Spanish classical guitar program hosted by Maurie & Patricia Grafton at The Artful Lodger on August 31 will include Renaissance to 19^th Century Romance compositions, and even some Flamenco.

 

Ticket sales for this special event will be limited to 45 seats, each for $10.  It is anticipated that all tickets will be sold in advance.
