Three-year-old Hanover youngster Liam Murphy is mesmerized by the festivities at Donnybrook in the Park in Hanover Saturday night. Donnybrook singer/guitarist Kevin Quinn sings ‘The Night Pat Murphy Died’ Saturday night in Hanover. The festival was held as a fundraiser for the ‘Friends of the Park District,’ and it featured Donnybrook, an Irish band from the south side of Chicago.

Spectators at the festival clap for the Irish Dancers as they finish one of their dances. In Hanover, on July 23, the Friends of the Park District committee presented a check for $4,500 to Darrold Kennedy, Hanover Park District President. Pictured with the check are, left to right, Kathy Gable, Kennedy, Tom Sheridan and Jenny Knasiak. Due to its success, Friends of the Park District have decided to go forward with Donnybrook in the Park next year, planned for the second Saturday in June.
