Friday, September 17th - Mallardfest Kick-Off
5:00 p.m. Kurt Boche: The Happy Bavarian will be performing at the VFW Club in Hanover then traveling to the Mallardfest Dinner.
The 27th Annual Mallardfest will kick off with a Duck/Prime Rib Dinner to be held at Chestnut Mountain Resort with a Ducks Unlimited Silent Auction afterward. For reservations, call 815-591-3512 or 800-397-1320. $18.50 per ticket.
6:30 p.m. Cocktails
7:30 p.m. Dinner
9:30 p.m. Kurt Boche will be returning to the VFW Club for another performance.

Saturday, September 18th - White Park, Hanover
11:00 a.m. Beer/Wine Garden & Food Booths Open:(Pizza, Pork Chop Sandwiches, Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Brats, Funnel Cakes, Snow Cones, Cotton Candy, Pop, and Bottled Water)
  • Mallardfest Parade: This year's theme: "Fifty Years in Flight"—celebrating Whistling Wings, Inc.'s 50th Anniversary. (Prizes for Children's Entries)
12:00 p.m. Children & Family Entertainer—MR. STEVE
  • Children's Games—Sponsored by the Hanover Township Park District
  • Apple River Golf Challenge begins (Playoffs at 3 p.m.)
  • Pontoon Boat Rides on the Apple River—($3.00 per ride)
  • River Ridge Cub Scouts Pinewood Derby
1:00 p.m. Mallardfest Music—"THE LEGENDS" until 4 p.m.
  • River Ridge Boy Scouts Mini Golf or Dunk Tank
  • Area Firefighters' Tug-of-War—(Traveling Trophy and Plaque to the winning Dept.)
  • Children's Pumpkin Coloring Contest—(Prizes: Preschoolers - 5th Grade)
  • Horseshoe Tournament—(Cash Prizes)
1:45 p.m. Duck Calling Contest—(Sponsored by Ducks Unlimited. Children & Adult Divisions)
3:00 p.m. Apple River Golf Challenge—"The Playoffs"—(Prizes to top 3 Golfers)
3:30 p.m. Apple River Duck Retrieve—(Cash Prizes: $75 for 1st, $50 for 2nd, $25 for 3rd)
4:00 p.m. Mallard Duck "Crap Shoot"—(Cash Prize of $100)
4:15 p.m. Ducks Unlimited Auction
5:15 p.m. Button Drawing—Great Prizes totaling over $2,000!! (Must be present to win)
