The Village of Hanover is producing a Web site to showcase our town and all area businesses and organizations. We have purchased the domain name www.hanover-il.com, and very soon you will see the Village of Hanover Web site taking shape there. And we need your help in this effort.
Web Site Listings
Your business or nonprofit organization is eligible for a free listing on the Web site. Simply fill out the form online at www.hanover-il.com/biz/signmeup.htm, or pick up a copy at the town hall. The listing includes contact information and a sentence- to paragraph-long description. Free ads are open to any business or group within a 10-mile radius of Hanover.
A link to your Web site and/or email address is provided free of charge for nonprofit organizations and members of the Hanover Chamber of Commerce.
An added community service is local Web site hosting. For just $25 a year, you can rent up to 5 MB of space under the Hanover Web site. For example, if your business were named Schaible Potato Farm, the URL for your company Web site might be http://www.hanover-il.com/schaiblespuds/. An annual cost of $25 is a bargain, compared to the $5 monthly charge you have to pay to most ISPs for a subdirectory or the $10-50 monthly cost of hosting your own domain name, plus it contributes to the growth of the Hanover Web site.
Community Calendar
The Village Web site will be home to local news and a community calendar. Let us know what your school, business, club, or church is planning, and we would be happy to promote it for you. This feature can't succeed without your input.

If you or anyone you know has ideas for how to use the Internet to bring businesses, tourists, alumni, customers, or investors to Hanover, please share that with us.
